The EFAST2 electronic filing requirements for Form 5500 require that you sign the Form 5500 electronically. In order to sign the Form 5500, you will need to obtain filing signer credentials.
The Department of Labor (DOL) will not permit us to obtain the credentials on your behalf. To obtain the filing signer credentials, you must register on the DOL’s website. This document contains the steps necessary to obtain these credentials.
Open your Web Browser and go to https://efast.dol.gov. From the menu on the left side of the page, select “Register”.
Select "Continue" when prompted with the below:
You are now at the “Register-Privacy Statement” page. Read the privacy statement and check the box indicating you have read the agreement – then click “Accept Agreement”.
At the “Register Profile Information” page, enter the required information. Please note: the email address is the most important piece of information – the system will use that address to send you a confirmation, and for all EFAST2 filing purposes.
Be sure to choose “Filing Signer” as your User Type and click “Next”.
On the “Register – Challenge Information” page select a challenge question and provide an answer, then click “Next”.
At the “Register – Summary” page review the data shown and select “Submit” if it is correct. Edit if changes are necessary.
Select "OK" to receive the registration check e-mail.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail. Review the information and select "OK."
Click the link provided in the email.
Challenge Question Verification, Pin Agreement, and Signature Agreement
Upon following the link provided, you will be prompted to answer your challenge question. Then select Next to continue.
Review the PIN agreement and then check the box indicating you have read this agreement.
Review the Signature Agreement and then check the box indicating you have read this agreement.
Create a password following the requirements and select Save.
Confirm your information is correct and then select Login.
You now have your credentials to file your Form 5500 electronically via EFAST2.
